The Prague Spring Festival is an international music festival that runs from May 11 to June 3. It is the biggest annual event in the Prague’s world of music.

The Prague Spring Festival

The exceptional artists, symphony orchestras and chamber music ensembles from around the world are taking participation in this festival.

Concerts are held in various concert halls, for example in the City Hall, the concert hall of the Czech Philharmonic, in churches and cathedrals.

The festival marks significant musical anniversaries by including the works of the composer whose anniversaries are celebrated in the program of the festival. It also presents the premieres of Czech and world composers.

Every day, there are four to six concerts, so do not make a strict itinerary. Perhaps it’s better to spontaneously let the music guide you.

Since many concerts are held in churches, be prepared and wear warmer clothes.

Concerts usually start at 5 pm.
